Parents

I believe that every student deserves the best learning experience in every single class. My course policies are fair, helpful and designed to promote transparency in the classroom. Reach out with any questions or clarifications.

Teaching Philosophy

It is important to put first that I became a teacher not for long summer breaks or to sit behind a desk. I became a teacher in order to inspire and help the development of tomorrow's future doctors, engineers, politicians, etc. It is my passion to reach out to each and every student and create a community full of healthy discussions and debates. I have a particular passion for English, but far more then grammar and spelling is my focus in my classroom. When students walk in the room I want them to hear about the struggles of the poor, or put themselves along the hero's journey. And at the end of the day I would like them to see that they too have a story to tell.

Dear Parents

First off I would like to say I look forward to the opportunity of being your child's teacher. I would like to also say that if there is anything you can tell me about your student regarding either their learning or how best they learn please feel free to reach out to me. Additionally, I would like to state that in my classroom mature topics will be discussed and read. If this causes any concern don't hesitate to send me and an email and we can discuss your concerns. I am open to different opinions and views and alternative assignments are available. I also would like to say that encourage any parents interested to follow along with the course. Reading lists are made available both on the syllabus and in the For Students section. If you have any questions or concerns you can find my contact information in the About Me section.

Sincerely,

Mr. K
